Dr. Jennifer Wicks joins the CCF/FCMA team
The Canadian Crafts Federation / Fédération Canadienne des Métiers d’Art (CCF/FCMA) is thrilled to welcome the organization’s new Executive Director, Dr. Jennifer Wicks.

Jennifer has over twenty-five years of experience rooted in various artistic, and educational institutions such as Concordia University, the Visual Arts Centre (VAC) in Montreal, Quebec, the Maison des metiers d’art in Quebec City and the University of Quebec in Outaouais. Jennifer brings considerable expertise in mentorship, program development and outreach. Her longstanding professional ceramic practice and international co-curation will help build practical ties within the creative community to address challenges faced by the sector. Recently, Jennifer completed her Ph.D. in Art Education (2021) and currently sits on the Board of Directors of The Canadian Society of Education through Arts and The Rozynski Art Centre. As a ceramic artist, educator, curator, author, and administrator, Jennifer brings needed support to communities that benefit profoundly from the arts.

During this transition, Jennifer will join part-time, with Interim ED support from Project Manager Victoria Hutt, until the new year. CCF/FCMA board and staff are excited about Jennifer’s skills and ability to lead the organization and to continue the reliable advocacy for the sector and CCF/FCMA members.
