The CCF/FCMA would like to congratulate
Tom McFall, the Executive Director of the Alberta Craft Council (ACC), for being
awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal. Premier Alison Redford and the Lieutenant
Governor of Alberta, Donald S. Ethell, presented Tom with the award at the Shaw
Theatre a few weeks ago. The Diamond Jubilee Medal is a new commemorative medal
to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s
accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The award honors Canadians whose
service has made significant contributions to their communities and their country.

Tom has been an invaluable director of the
ACC for the past 15 years. In that time he has been, and continues to be, an
effective, tireless, and thoughtful advocate for craft and craft artists.
