The Ontario Crafts Council and Ontario College of Art and Design University invite craftspeople from across the country to attend “Craft and the New Economy”, a full day of lectures addressing the relationship between craft and issues of sustainable business practice, technology, DIY and social responsibility.
Set for March 10th, 2012, the event will take place at OCADU’s campus in downtown Toronto. Speakers from across the country and beyond will discuss sustainable business practice and commercial contexts, DIY and craftivism, and engaging with technology and design.
Registration fees range depending on your connection to schools and the Ontario Crafts Council. The costs are $30 for OCC student members, $40 for student non-members, $70 for individual OCC members and $80 for individual non-members. To register now, click here.
