The CCF/FCMA and Lexus Canada are excited to invite nominations for two new awards that celebrate these remarkable individuals, recognizing both established leaders and emerging voices in Canadian craft.
Craftsperson of the Year Award, Sponsored by Lexus Canada
This award recognizes an accomplished craftsperson whose mastery, innovation, and dedication have made a meaningful impact on Canadian craft and Canadian culture.
Valued at $10,000 CAD, the award acknowledges the recipient’s distinguished contributions, empowers them to pass on their knowledge to future generations, and supports the ongoing vitality of the craft community.
Emerging Craftsperson Award, Sponsored by Lexus Canada
This award celebrates a talented early- to mid-career craftsperson whose innovative spirit and fresh perspective are reshaping our cultural landscape while redefining traditional craft.
Valued at $10,000 CAD, this award provides essential support to explore new techniques, experiment with materials, and push creative boundaries. By highlighting contemporary methods and sustainable practices, it recognizes the critical role craft plays in building a better future for both society and the environment.
How to Submit a Nomination
Craft Council and Affiliate Members in good standing with the CCF/FCMA may nominate one candidate per award. To ensure regional representation, organizations outside of CCF/FCMA membership may be invited to submit nominations by invitation only.
Nominations must be submitted by: February 27, 2026
