Congratulations to our New Board Members

The Canadian Crafts Federation (CCF) is pleased to announce our new and returning board members, and to thank and say good-bye to our former members.

During the CCF’s Annual General Meeting, held on July 30th, the new Executive Committee was elected. Returning to the board in new positions are Ken Wilkinson, our new President, Deb Dumka our new Past President, Tom Dean our former Treasurer and new 1st Vice President.  Linda Brine will continue in her position of Secretary.  New to the Executive are two familiar faces, Kelly Bruton as 2nd Vice President and Gilles Latour
as Treasurer. Kelly and Gilles are both regional representatives for the Crafts Council of Newfoundland & Labrador and the Ontario Crafts Council respectively, and will continue in these dual roles for the coming year.

The CCF Board also includes appointed representatives from all our Craft Council Member Organizations, bringing a regional perspective to the national board. We are pleased to welcome two new appointed board  members: David Freeman from the Saskatchewan Crafts Council and Suzanne Scott from the Prince Edward Island Craft Council. Both began their first four-year term earlier in 2013.

All other board members include returning representatives:

  • Penny Parry, Craft Council of British Colombia
  • Kai Scholefield, Alberta Craft Council
  • Alison Norberg, Manitoba Craft Council
  • Gilles Latour, Ontario Crafts Council
  • François Beauvais, Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec
  • Natalie Landry, New Brunswick Crafts Council
  • Deb Wheeler, Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council
  • Kelly Bruton, Crafts Council of Newfoundland & Labrador
  • Rowena House, Nunavut Arts & Crafts Association
  • Lynn Feasey, Special Representative from Northwest Territories (Points North Creative Inc.)

and

  • Charlene Alexander, Yukon Art Society

The CCF would also like to give our sincere thanks to Susana Rutherford from Prince Edward Island, a member of the board for 3 years, and Simon Wroot, Past President of the CCF who has been a key contributor to the organization for over a decade. These dedicated volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. We thank each of them for their contributions, and look forward to working with our new and returning representatives into the future.
