Call to Action: Fight to Save Capilano University’s Craft Programs!

Due to proposed budget cuts, the long standing Textile Arts and Studio Arts Programs (including Ceramics) at Capilano University in British Columbia will be terminated. The Craft community can not afford to lose another professional studio based art program, so we are looking to the community for support. If you want to help save these programs, please make your voice heard. We encourage everyone to sign the petition (here) and to contact the individuals listed below to express their support for the Craft programs at Capilano:

Dean: Jennifer Moore
Senate Representative: Grace Mcnab
Board Representative: Dr. Frank Harris
Board Representative: Stephen Williams

A final decision will not be made until after May 14th, so your emails, letters and petition signatures can still have an impact on the outcome of this unfortunate decision. An outpouring of support from the community at large will show how much we need this type of programming in Universities across the country – including Capilano.
