Craft Nova Scotia is pleased to launch a new “Craft Your Own Path” program aimed at emerging and mid-career craftspeople, providing them with essential tools and materials to hone their skills. Registration for the “Craft Your Own Path” course, “Business of Craft,” a microcredential program developed in partnership with the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), opens on February 1st, 2024.

Craft Ontario – Call for Retail Window Feature ↗

Craft Ontario is seeking proposals for the 2024 – 2025 Retail Feature Program! The Retail Feature Program showcases a body of work in the front window space of the Craft Ontario Shop. The Retail Feature Program gives members the opportunity to highlight a range of work, including large or one-of-a-kind pieces, and production work. All work displayed in the Feature will be for sale and should have the potential to sell in a retail setting.

Craft Ontario Call for 2025 Exhibition Proposals ↗

Craft Ontario is currently seeking proposals for solo and two-person exhibitions to take place in the Craft Ontario Gallery in the 2025 calendar year. Craft Ontario welcomes submissions in all craft media by artists at any stage of their career (emerging, mid or established). Submissions of both existing work and projects that have not yet been realized will be considered.

The Canadian Society of Decorative Arts/Cercle canadien des arts décoratifs is excited to announce that the 42nd Annual Symposium will take place in Hamilton, Ontario, with the theme “A City Rediscovered.” The Marian Bradshaw Lecture will be presented by Mark Osbaldeston, author of Unbuilt Hamilton. Manitoba Craft Museum and Library • Winnipeg, MB | March 1 – December 31, 2024 

Group Exhibition – Diversified

In 2023, with the intention of asking, “What does reconciliation and decolonizing mean for museums?” the Manitoba Craft Museum and Library launched a fundraising drive to purchase work by artists from under-represented communities. Using these funds, MCML purchased works by ten artists. Come visit MCML to see these newly acquired works.

_at the end of a line, a circle

The Manitoba Craft Council is excited to introduce their new exhibition opening in May 2024: _at the end of a line, a circle by Kristin Nelson. Nelson uses traditional craft processes like knitting and net-making paired with non-traditional materials to playfully subvert a range of established binaries.

The Earring Show 2024

The Craft Council of BC presents The Earring Show 2024, an annual exhibition that highlights contemporary jewellery design. The opening reception will be held at 7 pm on May 9, 2024 at the CCBC Gallery. The show will be on display in the CCBC gallery until May 23 and will be available for purchase online until August 31, 2024.
