The CCF/FCMA has one new announcement, and a reminder.
First, a call for students who will be returning to school this coming September: the CCF/FCMA is hiring an 8 week full time paid internship for a Communications Coordinator and Graphic Designer. The position will be based in our main office in Fredericton, New Brunswick, alongside our partners at Craft NB. Applicants must have keen writing, editing and design skills. For more information, see the full job description and application directions here. The deadline for application is May 8th, 2017.
In a completely different vein, the CCF/FCMA reminds all our members of the upcoming deadline for the 2017 Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership in Craft. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, May 5th. This award celebrates distinguished contributors to the craft sector, and is one of the highest markers of exceptional commitment to the development of the craft community in Canada. The award is open to artists, administrators, curators, collectors, educators, volunteers or any other category related directly to the craft field. We welcome nominations from our members across the country, and encourage you to nominate the key figures from your local craft community. For more information and the full call for nominations see here.
