the biennale closes for 2009

Update from Fredericton: November 17th, 2009

Exhibition signage The Cheongju International Craft Biennale has completed its run for the year, closing on November 1st, 2009.  The 40 day event saw an estimated 300,000* visitors walk through the gates, many of whom came specifically to see the Canadian exhibition.

Canada`s pavilion, consisting of the `Unity & Diversity` exhibition, an educational center and the Canadian Boutique was an incredible accomplishment.  It now represents the largest and most significant international undertaking ever for Canada`s craft sector.

Watch for more updates with images of the event, and information on the next showing of the Selected Works of Unity & Diversity – set to hit the Vancouver Museum in January 2010. Catalogues will also be for sale as soon as they arrive in Canada. More information to come!
