Happy Holidays From the CCF/FCMA

Every year, the holiday season brings about a flood of craft activity. We encourage you to connect with the craft events, fairs and exhibitions in your neighbourhood – and beyond! Check in with your local Craft Council to see what they, and their members, are up to. View event listings and a wide variety of Canadian contemporary fine craft at citizensofcraft.ca. Visit your local craft galleries, studios and boutiques to support local businesses. But most of all, engage with craft for yourself – take a few moments from the rush of it all to enjoy a connection to craft.

This will be our final issue of the CCF/FCMA e-newsletter for 2016. We will be back to our regular bi-weekly schedule on January 11th. Our offices will be closed from December 17th to January 4th.

But before we head out for the holidays, we want to take a moment to thank every one of our readers, partners, and volunteers for their dedication to craft. Thank you in particular to our board of directors, committee members, and event volunteers who worked tirelessly to make 2016 a truly landmark year for the CCF/FCMA.

We hope you take the time this holiday season to kick back, sip hot chocolate from a handmade mug, wrap yourself up in a handwoven blanket, and pop some champagne in a blown-glass flute to ring in the New Year. We will see you all again in 2017.
